Technology can play a key role in improving the experience of migrant workers, notably in the recruitment process. In order to understand how technology and labour migration interact, ITUC is organizing a webinar in partnership with ILO to discuss related challenges, risks and good practices. Speakers from a diverse background (ITUC, ILO, workers’ and employers’ representatives, governments) will discuss how new technology can participate in achieving fair migration for workers. The United Nations University Institute in Macau will present a research on the “Use of Digital Technology in the Recruitment of Migrant Workers” and speakers will discuss the key milestones and future developments of the ITUC Migrant Workers Recruitment Advisor (MRA).
