Time to Deliver: Considering pregnancy and parenthood in the UK’s response to human trafficking

The data collated for this research suggests that between 25-50% of trafficking victims in the UK are pregnant or have children, either accompanying them in the UK or residing in their home country. The purpose of this research was to assess whether the particular vulnerabilities and special needs of this sizable group are being acknowledged and met by the UK, and in doing so, whether the UK is meeting its obligations to protect the rights of all victims.

The report was compiled through a review of legislation and policy, as well as interviews with frontline professionals who work directly with victims of trafficking and their families.
