Disadvantaged by poor economic conditions, trafficking in persons is growing rapidly in Mongolia. Findings of this report indicate that many Mongolian women are lured into trafficking with false newspaper ads that promise lucrative job opportunities or educational scholarships at foreign universities. Sadly, many of the victims were also sold into prostitution by their friends or acquaintances.
