Human Trafficking and Terrorism: Utilizing National Security Resources to Prevent Human Trafficking in the Islamic State
This paper addresses the need for the United States to become more involved in fighting human trafficking in relation to ISIS. The author advocates for the United States to use counter-insurgency intelligence and national security resources to prevent recruitment of young women into ISIS. The paper discusses topics such as human trafficking and the Islamic State, anti-human trafficking legislation, cyber-security and social media recruitment tactics, and solutions to the issue.
