This is a handbook designed for the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment. By reading this guide, one should be able to 1) Understand what Trafficking in Persons is, 2) Identify cases of Trafficking in Persons, including cases of labour trafficking and trafficking for sexual exploitation, 3) Understand the role as an officer within the labour migration regulatory mechanism, 4) Apply interview techniques that will protect the victim and not cause further harm , 5) Protect individuals against further exploitation through appropriate referrals, and 6) Assist in cases of safe return for identified victims.
