Anti-Trafficking Legislation in Sub-Saharan Africa: Analyzing the Role of Coercion and Parental Responsibility
This paper explores the content of anti-trafficking legislation in Sub Saharan African countries as they pertain to the issues of coercion and parental responsibility. It examines the different forms and contents of these laws, and proposes preliminary typology of the current wave of anti-trafficking legislation. It discusses the United States’ role in fostering international consensus for legislative remedy concerning human trafficking among countries in this region.
