Missing children is a social problem in India. However, the exact statistics of “how many go missing” and “how many are recovered” are hard to obtain. Often when a child is found and returns to the family, this information is not passed on to the authorities or organizations that may have been originally informed about the missing child. The CHILDLINE India Foundation aims to utilize this publication to strengthen the existing child rights systems and provide intervention by working with government and non-government agencies, creating collaborations and partnerships and raising the awareness and participation of civil society.
