Internationally recognized core labor standards in the Democratic Republic of Congo

This report reviews the trade policies in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It emphasizes that, although child labor is regulated by the law and children are not allowed to perform hazardous work, many children perform the worst forms of child labor in mines, quarries or as forced prostitutes. Additionally, the recruitment of child soldiers by armed groups and certain units of the national forces is an alarming problem.
