Anti-child Trafficking Legislation in Asia: A Six-country Review (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand & Indonesia)
This paper compares the policies and legal frameworks of the listed countries and highlights inadequacies of the legal frameworks in six countries of South and SouthEast Asia and the discrepancies between the national laws and international instruments. This paper was based on comprehensive review of the relevant laws in those countries and subsequent national consultations. International Labour Organization then organized a regional consultation with government officials and representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations to review the relevant contexts in their respective countries.
