A Survivor’s Story
Our guest speaker Harold D’Souza and his wife are survivors of labor trafficking and debt bondage. Originally from India, Harold stepped down from a senior management position in order to pursue the American Dream. He came to the United States following the advice and encouragement of a man who would become his trafficker. For 133 months, he lost his freedom and struggled to keep those he loved safe. Today, Harold is a Survivor-Advocate and Public Speaker. His experience has given him a new purpose and meaning in life. His favorite quotes are “I am a poor starter but a strong finisher” and “Don’t worry, be happy”.
