In response to the lack of knowledge about the scope and magnitude of trafficking in Namibia, an assessment of Trafficking in Persons in Namibia was initiated by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare. The report collects available information on the scope of trafficking in persons in targeted areas of Namibia, reviews counter-trafficking initiatives by government and civil society, and outlines gaps and makes recommendations concerning future programming and research needs.
