Mudan is forced into modern-day sex slavery by the cold-hearted Madame Zhao, where she is soon befriended by the kind and empathetic Faye. While Mudan dreams of a better life with her mother in America, Faye’s act of incredible sacrifice helps form an inseparable bond between the two girls trapped in a brutal, hopeless world.
