Cambodia Unveils New Five-Year Plan to Fight Human Trafficking
Cambodia has rolled out a new five-year strategic plan to prevent and combat human trafficking, with a particular focus on law enforcement, which the government sees as a key point to help the nation stamp out the crime.
The National Strategic Plan on Combating Human Trafficking (2024-2028), implemented by the National Committee for Counter Trafficking in Persons (NCCT) on August 1, is the fourth roadmap to crackdown on human trafficking and aims to address the remaining issues.
“Based on the results of the evaluation of the previous National Strategic Plan (2019-2023), we have identified some remaining issues that were unavoidable that need to be addressed and implement the National Strategic Plan to Combat Human Trafficking 2024 to 2024,” the plan stated.
