Still at risk: a review of support for trafficked children
Review of multi-agency support provided to children trafficked to the UK. Based on interviews with 17 trafficked young people and 18 professionals who work with them, an online survey completed by 52 local authorities and a review of the literature. Looks at the experiences of children who have been trafficked and were being cared for by a local authority and examines examples of good practice and areas for improvement. Findings indicate that a culture of suspicion and doubt amongst professionals leads to missed opportunities to protect trafficked children.
